DESCRIPTION:AG Presents and Mulligans On The Blue are excited to welcome world-class ukulele virtuoso and entertainer Taimane to the Mulligans Music Box as part of our Aloha Music Series.  In addition to her shredding and stage prowess\, Taimane is also a prolific songwriter and accomplished musical theatre producer\, selling out Hawai‘i Theatre last August with her original show ‘Hawaiki -A Musical & Theatrical Odyssey’. It’s been five years since Taimane has played on Maui\, and we are honored to have her and her band join us for an unforgettable evening. \nDoors/Dinner Seating: 5pm\nShow Starts: 7:30pm\n  \n\n\n\n\nVirtuoso and songwriter\, Taimane\, is best known for her fierce and inventive style of playing the ukulele helping the hapa Samoan(part Caucasian and part indigenous Samoan) artist earn four Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards and garner over 50 million video views and nearly 500\,000 social media followers to date. Hailing from a musical Polynesian family including her late mother\, Palepa TauiliiliGardner (Miss Samoa 1978)\, Taimane’s attraction to the four-string island staple began at age 5. By age 10\, she regularly performed in public\, busking in Waikiki every Friday night with her father holding down security duties and Waikiki Beach Boys (adults whose home & workplace was the beach) serving as her band. By age 13\, Taimane landed a position in Don Ho’s show literally playing in the spotlight every week until Ho’s passing.
