SUMMARY:Rowdy Fest 2025
DESCRIPTION:Rowdy Fest 2025\nAG Presents\, Mulligans on the Blue\, and Rowdy Love bring you ROWDY FEST 2025. The event will be held at Mulligans on the Blue on Saturday\, March 15th\, and features an amazing lineup of music with the reunited and highly anticipated return of A Kettle Prime\, along with Flat Jackson\, and of course Rowdy Love. The Dance floor will be open!!!\nEarlybird pricing of $20 for the first 60 tickets\, then the price will increase to $25\, and day-of\, and at the door will be $30\nThe show is from 7:00 to 10:00 pm with Doors at 6:00 pm. The dancefloor will be popping!!\nThis show will not have reserved seating. There will be seating available on a first come first serve basis. Food will also be available until 9pm.\nWeʻre expecting a full house so grab your tickets early.\nABOUT THE BAND\nA KETTLE PRIME: The band A Kettle Prime – known fondly by their many fans as AKP – formed in the summer of 2007 each member bringing with them the unique experience of previous bands. In the short period of time between then and now\, the band has had a major impact on the local Maui music scene with its truly diverse and original sound. Combining elements of rock\, funk\, jazz and blues A Kettle Prime transcends the pop mainstream and normal island reggae feel to invigorate their crowd with crafty compositions and lingering note play reminiscent of today’s hottest jam bands. Whether psychedelic or trance\, soaring melodies or in full momentum it seems obvious that A Kettle Prime is rising.\nFLAT JACKSON: In 2014\, 3\,000 feet up the side of a dormant volcano in the most remote island chain on Earth\, a group of musicians gathered on a Tuesday night around a few stringed instruments and more than a few distilled beverages. Over the course of the evening two things became clear: 1) more beverages would be needed and 2) something magical was taking place. On that Tuesday night in Maui\, Hawaii\, Flat Jackson was born. The band took their name from the plethora of dead Jackson Chameleons that litter the streets of their Kula\, Maui home. It seems that the micro triceratops love the heat of the pavement\, but their molasses-like locomotion is no match for the knobby-tired four wheel drive vehicles that rule the local asphalt. Though it started out as a bluegrass band\, Flat Jackson morphed into…something else. No doubt that rootsy quality comes through\, kinda like someone dropped an anvil on Bill Monroe’s foot\, but essentially the range of influences have rendered the band genre-less. Elements of reggae\, folk\, rock (both southern and northern)\, blues\, punk\, funk and just about everything else coagulate into a sound as unique as the island they call home.\nROWDY LOVE: Aaron Jernigan and Stina Lynn are wild souls who met on a little farm in Haiku\, Hawai’i over a decade ago. On that first meeting\, they wailed away on their guitars singing covers that they both knew by Mississippi John Hurt\, Johnny Cash\, John Prine\, and Gillian Welch. Seeing as they both had the same taste in music they decided t ot start singing tunes together at parties and potlucks. A few years later they ventured out into another realm of genius and wrote their first song together. Sitting at a kitchen table with a bottle of wine\, whiskey\, strawberries\, and a bowl of cigarettes\, they had their firstborn song and named it Rowdy Love. It was a hit\, and alas Rowdy Love duo was birthed into this world! Joined by their amazing band\, Jonas\, Paul and Clint\, the music will take you on a sonic journey through Americana\, Ska\, Rock-A-Billy and with a punk edge.\n \nShow starts at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6pm. Join us for dinner and stay for the music and dancing! Tables and seating are first come first serve.\n \n Buy Tickets\n \n All Shows & Events

SUMMARY:Desert Hollow Band - Backed by Three to 5
DESCRIPTION:AG Presents is excited to welcome Desert Hollow\, but this time\, they have hired Maui’s favorite funk group 3 to 5 as their backing band for a full evening of music.\nAG Presents Desert Hollow Band – Mulligans Music Box – March 28th.\nHaiku-based folk duet Desert Hollow is back\, but this time\, they have hired Maui’s favorite funk group 3 to 5 as their backing band for a full evening of music.\nDesert Hollow has created a recognizable name for themselves here on Maui. Most often\, you will catch them in duo or trio form at their residency up at Mahalo Aleworks on Thursday nights\, or maybe you’ve seen them before at an intimate evening at the Pro Arts theater\, or maybe even you’ve caught them plunking a banjo or two at the cove. It’s true\, the musical and life partners Xander Hitzig and Nicole Olney both write original music with intricacy and lyricism that grooves well in a setting where you can sit down and really hear what they are singing about. This night\, however\, will be a different vibration of Desert Hollow\, elevated by Matt Del Olmo on electric guitar\, Kevin Garland on drums\, Ian Sheridan on bass\, and Matt Novotney on organ/keys.\nIt will be an evening for the books\, people. A musical collaboration of historical prominence. There will be a dance floor. There will be special guests. There will be blood. Just kidding. Grab your ticket and your dancing slippahs and let’s go.\nA little more about Desert Hollow:\nDesert Hollow embodies the blend of geographical and artistic influences that shape this traveling duo\, consisting of Xander Hitzig and Nicole Olney. Their musical journey began in Los Angeles\, as castmates in a jukebox country musical\, their unexpected connection and shared passion for songcraft has since taken them all over the world.\nXander hails from the rolling hills of West Virginia\, while Nicole’s roots lie in the vast deserts of California. The influences of their respective hometowns have created a sort of high-lonesome-bluegrass-folk-funk sound. Currently calling Maui\, Hawaii\, home\, they create genre-bending music that speaks to the heart\, as Xander often describes it: “folk music-music for the folks.” Xander is a profound multi-instrumentalist and writer\, seamlessly playing a variety of stringed instruments\, including fiddle\, which he also performs with Lukas Nelson. While Nicole’s knack for writing earned a short film of hers a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Nicole’s powerful lyricism and ethereal voice weaves seamlessly into the rich\, diverse soundscapes of their songs\, while Xander’s voice carries the weight and clarity of traditional bluegrass music\, raw and unadorned. When they harmonize\, it feels as though their bond transcends time\, as if they’ve been singing together forever—not just musically\, but as life partners\, intertwined in both love and melody.\nDesert Hollow’s performances vary from lively\, full-band shows that invite audiences to dance\, to more intimate\, duet-style sets perfect for quiet reflection. Their music is largely original—captivating songs that feel both timeless and timely. Their live shows leave audiences feeling uplifted\, grounded\, and inspired long after the music fades.\nThe release of their debut EP Thirsty garnered attention being described as “a refreshing blend of old-timey folk\, blood harmonies\, and knee-slapping hoedowns\,” quickly landing themselves a feature on NPR Music’s Live Sessions\, as well as opportunities to collaborate in out and out of the studio with the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov\, Lukas Nelson\, John Craigie\, and Lily Meola. Spending the last few years touring the U.S. and crafting their sound\, Xander and Nicole are excited to announce that their first full-length record is set for release this year. This long-awaited album promises to showcase their musical evolution\, with songs that reflect their unique journey and growth as artists.\nDoors/Check-in starts at 6:00pm\nShow Starts at 7:00pm\n$25 Advance – $30 Day of\nFood and drinks are available for purchase throughout the evening\nOutdoor tables and seating are first come first serve.\n \n \n Buy Tickets\n \n All Shows & Events

SUMMARY:Benny Uyetake’s Kanikapila with Guests Mitch Kepa & Wilson Kanaka‘ole
DESCRIPTION:The Aloha Music Series Presents Uncle Benny Uyetake’s Kanikapila featuring musicians Mitch Kepa and Wilson Kanaka‘ole with Hula by Wailani\nUncle Benny Uyetake’s Kanikapila in Wailea on April 30th featuring special guest musicians Mitch Kepa and Wilson Kanaka‘ole\, with hula by Wailani Mulvihill.\nThis show is gonna be a Kanikapila jam like no other!\nKanikapila\, gathering together to play music\, has been a well-loved traditional Hawaiian pastime. It’s these types of impromptu jam sessions that create an exceptionally rare evening on the islands. Maui’s musical treasure\, Uncle Benny Uyetake\, re-imagines Kanikapila evenings in Wailea with storytelling\, and world-class music. Through the Aloha Music Series\, Uncle Benny will introduce you to the new sounds from the islands and transport you to old Hawaiʻi as he hosts upcoming artists and Hawaiʻi’s legends. You never know who is gonna show up and kanikapila!!\nBenny has played with some of the world’s finest musicians on Maui and while touring. Over the years Benny has shared the stage with some of Hawaiʻi’s greatest trailblazers like Uncle Willie K and Barry Flanagan of HAPA\, as well as the world’s most talented jazz players Les McCann\, Russel Malone\, and Donald Harrison. His versatility comes from his years of musical study in different genres with mentors in classical\, jazz\, Hawaiian\, Blues\, and rock.\nDoors/Check-in starts as early as 5:00pm\nShow Starts at 6:30pm\nFood and drinks are available for purchase throughout the evening\nPlease arrive early and enjoy the views\, have a drink\, and have some food!!  If you arrive during showtime we will get you to your seat in between songs.\nMitch Kepa\nBorn and raised in Hawaii\, Kepa knew music was going to be a big part of his life when he saw a TV commercial featuring the late Gabby Pahinui playing beautiful Hawaiian slack key guitar. “The rest was history for me. Hawaiian music started my journey as an artist\,” he said. Kepa has been performing for more than 30 years\, concentrating on vocals first and guitar second.\nMitch Kekoa Kepa\, mixes R&B traditions with island vibes\, offering a laid-back and funky groove that appeals to all generations. Considered one of the few remaining original Hawaiian Renaissance artists\, Kepa found his musical style through a range of influences including local Hawaiian hit artists Gabby Pahinini and Cecilio & Kapono\, Motown greats like Marvin Gaye\, the Temptations\, and Steve Wonder\, and the soulful jazz and blues genius of George Benson. “Music is my first love\,” says Kepa. “What it means to me? It comes before everything. It’s food for the soul.” From a young age\, Kepa had a keen ear for music which sprung out of his Hawaiian family beginnings. The second of nine children\, Kepa grew up listening to the ukulele and Hawaiian folk songs of his mother\, Nani “Barbara” Kepa and extended family which played music during regular family gatherings. Nani inspired a new generation of musicians who included Kepa’s five brothers—John\, Milton\, Ama\, Alika\, and Tony—all of whom grew up playing music together.\nUpon leaving home to attend college at the University of Hawaii Manoa\, Kepa quickly developed his distinct sound and found himself playing among the likes of Joe Cano\, an internationally recognized guitar virtuoso who played with George Benson\, and Hawaiian legends Henry Kapono\, John Cruz\, and other iconic R&B and jazz musicians. For twenty-plus years\, Kepa has captured the hearts of local Hawaiian culture and the appreciation of crowds across Hawaii. He played with Iao Stream Band for close to a decade\, and today performs solo and duo contemporary arrangements with local music greats including jazz saxophonist Rock Hendricks.\nWilson Kanaka‘ole\nWilson Kanaka’ole\, a guitarist and vocalist\, grew up in Lahaina\, attended the University of Hawai’i Maui College’s Institute of Hawaiian Music and has appeared on records by the Barefoot Natives and other island musicians. He comes from a family of talented musicians\, including his father\, Eric Kanaka’ole\, and uncle\, the late ‘ukulele legend Nelson Waikiki.\nWailani Mulvihill – Polynesian Dancer & Cultural Ambassador\nBorn and raised on the island of Oʻahu\, Wailani Mulvihill began her hula journey at the tender age of three. With nearly six decades of dance experience\, her love and dedication to the art of hula and Polynesian dance have taken her across the world — from the shores of Kaʻanapali and Wailea to the stages of Japan\, Hong Kong\, Germany\, Switzerland\, France\, Belgium\, and throughout the United States.\nWailani’s professional career began at the Royal Lahaina Hotel\, where she performed with groups such as Phase 7\, Zulu\, and the renowned Lūʻau Show. She has since graced the stages of countless resort hotels and conventions\, sharing the spirit of aloha and the stories of her ancestors through dance.\nWhile her heart beats strongest for Hula ʻAuana\, Wailani is also trained in Hula Kahiko and a wide range of Polynesian dances — including those of Tahiti\, Samoa\, Tonga\, Fiji\, and New Zealand. Her personal favorite is the powerful and expressive Māori dance of Aotearoa (New Zealand).\nAlthough not formally recognized as a Kumu Hula\, Wailani has shared her mana‘o by teaching hula and Polynesian dance throughout her career. One of her proudest accomplishments has been blending her passion for culture with her calling as an educator. Now in her 26th year of teaching — currently at Waiheʻe Elementary and formerly at Kalama Intermediate in Hawaiian Immersion — she has nurtured generations of keiki both in the classroom and on stage. Her students have performed at venues like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm alongside the talented Benny Uyetake’s ʻukulele ensemble.\nWailani has also performed as an international dancer abroad and has had the honor of dancing as a soloist for celebrated musicians\, including HAPA and Benny Uyetake\, among many others.A true cultural ambassador\, Wailani Mulvihill continues to inspire with every sway of her hips\, every graceful motion of her hands\, and every story shared through dance.\nBenny Photo Credit: Bruce Forrester\n \n Buy Tickets\n \n All Shows & Events

SUMMARY:Dessert Hello - Desert Hollow & Three to 5
DESCRIPTION:AG Presents is excited to bring you Dessert Hello! Desert Hollow backed by Maui’s favorite funk group Three to 5 for a full evening of music.\nAG Presents Desert HelloDesert Hollow with Three to 5 (hana Hou)Mulligans Music Box – May 23rd\nFull Sound\, Dance Floor\, and Lights by Jamminʻ Joey\nHaiku folk duet Desert Hollow is returning to Mulligans yet again in collaboration with the Three to Five funk band for an evening of boogying down. What exactly happens when you mix a folk duet with a four-piece funk band? Dessert Hello\, that’s what!\nDesert Hollow has created a recognizable name for themselves here on Maui. This night\, however\, will be a different vibration of Desert Hollow\, elevated by Matt Del Olmo on electric guitar\, Kevin Garland on drums\, Ian Sheridan on bass\, and Matt Novotney on organ/keys. Joey from Jammin’ on Maui will be providing psychedelic lighting equivalent to the likes of what one may experience at the Sphere. Am I exaggerating? Not really\, the guy is an artist.\nIf you missed the last show in March\, now is your chance to see this historic collaboration again before Desert Hollow hits the mainland for their summer tour. If you made it to the last show\, then you really don’t need any convincing\, the magic of that evening was tangible.\nGetcha dancing slippahs and get ready to boogie down\, we’ll see you there!\nEarlybird Tickets – $25 (only 50General Tickets – $30Day-of – $35  —  Door – $40\nDoors/Check-in starts at 6:00pm\nShow Starts at 7:00pm\nFood and drinks are available for purchase throughout the evening\nOutdoor tables and seating are first come first serve.\n \nA little more about Desert Hollow:\nDesert Hollow embodies the blend of geographical and artistic influences that shape this traveling duo\, consisting of Xander Hitzig and Nicole Olney. This long-awaited album promises to showcase their musical evolution\, with songs that reflect their unique journey and growth as artists.\n \n Buy Tickets\n \n All Shows & Events

SUMMARY:Mitch Kepa
DESCRIPTION:Mitch Kepa\nBorn and raised in Hawaii\, Kepa knew music was going to be a big part of his life when he saw a TV commercial featuring the late Gabby Pahinui playing beautiful Hawaiian slack key guitar. He played with Iao Stream Band for close to a decade\, and today performs solo and duo contemporary arrangements with local music greats including jazz saxophonist Rock Hendricks.\nReservations are recommended!\n \n Reserve Table Here\n \n All Shows & Events
