AG Presents is excited to bring the Aloha Music Series to Mulligans On The Blue with Maui’s Ukulele Virtuoso Andrew & Jay Molina on Wednesday, April 2nd. For this special evening, Andrew and Jay welcome Maui legend, Jamie Lawrence!
Experience one of Hawaii‘s great ukulele-fronted duos, (father + son) Andrew and Jay Molina, as they share songs, stories, and laughter while taking you on a musical journey throughout the “World of Ukulele”.
ABOUT JAMIE: Jamie Lawrence was born in this beautiful paradise. He has been an entertainer on Maui for over 40 years and has entertained fans with his magical voice and beautiful guitar playing. Jamie Lawrence has recorded several albums and has performed with many of Hawaiiʻsgreat entertainers, including his good friend Kealiʻi Reichel, where they performed together at the Maui Lu in the 80’s. Kealiʻi went on to record some of Hawaiiʻs greatest albums, each of which Jamie was honored to participate on. Aside from Jamie’s incredible music, he is also a talented helicopter pilot.
Andrews 3 albums have all been nominated for “Ukulele Album of the Year” at the prestigious “Nā Hōkū Hanohano” music awards, (Hawaii’s version of the Grammy’s) and he has also been featured on the cover of England’s Uke Magazine. His music has also been featured in video promotions for Hawaiian Airlines and Ocean Vodka. His music is also feature on certain Hawaiian Airlines flights. From sweet Hawaiian sounds to Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Stairway To Heaven” and even the “Game of Thrones” theme, Andrew along with his dad Jay on bass and guitar prove that anything is possible on the ukulele! He is always looking to take the ukulele to the next level and inspire people of all ages by showing them what is possible on this humble little 4 string instrument.
